Okay so I’m making a skin care post right now because my skin feels really amazing.
My daily skin care routine is wake up, shower, use my ocean salt scrub, moisturize with my lancome energie de vie then use my peter thomas roth oil, then I’ll use my smashbox cc cream and ole henrikson cc cream for my eyes. Then at night I wash my face twice with dove soap and then use my clarisonic mia 2 and my Soy Face Cleanser by Fresh and moisturize all over again.
I have extremely dry skin hence why I do so much but last night I took a sample from work of the fresh black tea perfecting mask and oh my god, it’s the most amazing hydrating mask ever. I need to purchase it immediately even though it’s so expensive, it’s worth it. It comes in this huge jar but a little goes a long way and it has a cooling, tingling feeling when you leave it on and it makes your face feel baby soft. After my mask I moisturized as usual and then used a sample of the tarte pure maracuja oil which was also really nice and hydrating, I still wanna try it on my hair.
I know oils seem really scary to some people and a few months ago I was like “hell no I am never putting an oil on my face” and I have the dryest skin ever..The first oil my coworker ever convinced me to try was Josie Maran Argan Light which is really good if you have oily skin. The best tip ever is to rub it into your hands first and then tap it on, because it doesn’t feel oily if you do that.
Also if you have oily skin, USE OILS!!!!!! IT SHOULD HELP WITH YOUR OILY SKIN. In most cases people with oily skin are always trying to use matte products and dry out their skin, THAT’S NOT GOOD!!! When you dry out your skin, your face is like “oh wait i’m dry let me make some oil” and you get oily again! If you use an oil, it’ll keep your face hydrated therefore your skin won’t produce as much oil, and the majority of beauty oils are 100% natural, so they don’t just sit on your skin, your skin absorbs it! If you do have oily skin and you are thinking about using an oil I’d go with a lighter one. Like the Josie Maran one I mentioned before or Kate Somerville Dilo Oil and there are others I am forgetting at the moment.
You can use these oils everywhere though not just your face! That Peter Thomas Roth oil is amazing, it’s super hydrating and you only need one drop, I love it.
Anyway I’m ranting on about all this but skin care is super important and if anyone ever has any questions please ask me, if I’m not sure what they answer is to your question, I can ask around at work and figure it out for you! Answering questions about this stuff makes me super happy so don’t be afraid to ask me!!!!
